laughlin hotels and casino

One thing I like about the hotels in Laughlin is the ambiance. When i’m out there, I feel like closer to home. It’s not only the rooms or the service that counts. The atmosphere outside the hotel is one thing to consider too. For me, anyway. On our way home, mom and dad decided to stop at the Pioneer for another round of the slots. To cut our losses, Jeff and I just stayed in the car and enjoyed the music. While there in the parking lot, I took some pictures of the hotel.

It reminds of the structures built in the 1900s. The kind of place where the cowboys from the west hang out with the gang. Remember the movie “the good, the bad and the ugly”? The pioneer have that look into it. Not too modern but I kinda like it. When you go inside though, there’s nothing but a bunch of slot machines and some people dressed like a cowboy. Dressed for the occasion? Maybe. Well, whatever floats your boat, aight? One time we played the slots there for hours. You can call it a beginner’s luck because I won some money. After that, we toured the back of the hotel and man, the view is just magnificent. There’s a small pond for the ducks and some japanese bonsai to go with it. Just beautiful. I can sit there for hours and enjoy myself. Below is the photo of the Colorado Belle where we stayed at last November.

Looks like a boat to me. Of all things, I forgot to take a picture of the Edgewater Hotel. What a bummer!
